Sqldatasource updating parameters

Took your advice and tried debugging (not familiar with the debugger- but reading about it this weekend) so I created another page to replicate the scenario.

could I be missing a basic statement in my stored procedure like nocount ON - and the result is pushing an extra argument? You may try running the profiler on against your databse and see what you get. but now says its expecting a value for it, rather than too many arguments.Guess my brain is full, cuz I'm not seeing how to get it to play nice...I have a grid view that is bound to Sql Data Source. When I’m updating a row I’m getting error: Procedure or function Upsert Site Map has too many arguments specified.USE [Adventure Works] GO /****** Object: Stored Procedure [Human Resources].[Update Employee Gender] Script Date: 04/08/2011 ******/ SET ANSI_NULLS ON GO SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON GO -- ============================================= -- Author: -- ============================================= CREATE PROCEDURE [Human Resources].[Update Employee Gender] @Employee ID [int], @Gender [nchar](1) AS BEGIN UPDATE [Human Resources].[Employee] SET [Gender] = @Gender WHERE [Employee ID] = @Employee ID; END GO Is there any specific reason that column to be identified as User Id in the code?
